Mintlify makes it easy for teams to write and maintain documentation together. You can invite workspace members, assign roles that control what each person can do, and collaborate on pages in real time. This guide explains the available roles and how to add collaborators to your projects.

Team roles

Each workspace member has one of three roles. Roles determine what actions a user can take across projects and workspace settings. Owners and Editors can collaborate on drafts in real time. Viewers are ideal for stakeholders who need to review content without editing it directly.

Invite a collaborator

1

Open team settings

Click your workspace avatar in the top-right corner and select Team.
2

Send an invitation

Click Invite members, enter the email addresses of the people you want to add, and select a role for each.
3

Assign project access

By default, new members get access to all projects. To restrict access, open a project, go to Settings > Members, and adjust permissions per project.
4

Notify your team

Invited users receive an email with a join link. Once they accept, they appear in the team list and can begin collaborating immediately.
Team size is limited by your plan. Free plans include up to three workspace members. Upgrade your billing plan in Settings > Billing to add more collaborators.
With the right roles in place, your team can ship accurate, up-to-date documentation faster. Next, explore how to connect your tools in Integrations.
